The AMC Source team is delighted to congratulate Kayla Reed on her graduation from Oklahoma State University this May. Kayla received three bachelor's degrees in four years with a 4.0 GPA from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. These degrees include a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, a Bachelors of Science in Zoology: Ecology and Conservation Biology, and a Bachelors of Science in Plant Biology.
In addition to Kayla's impressive list of degrees received, she was honored as the Orange Gown Graduate for the College of Arts and Sciences. Each college at Oklahoma State University selects an outstanding graduate to wear orange regalia, while the rest of the graduating class wears traditional black gowns. As the Orange Gown Graduate, Kayla led the faculty into the arena, carrying the college's ceremonial gonfalon and was seated with the platform party at the front. She was individually recognized for her achievements by OSU's president and was the first graduate to walk across the stage. During Kayla's undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant in two laboratories for two years: with Dr. Kara More in her Cognition, Attention, Law, and Memory Lab, and with Dr. Andrew Dzialowski in his Aquatic Ecology Lab. She also mentored freshmen students with Mentor Collective for two years. And, of course, Kayla has served as an Association Intern at AMC Source since May of 2021.
After her graduation, Kayla began the position of Member Services Specialist at AMC Source, with primary areas of focus including member services, administrative assistance, and virtual event hosting. Kayla was recently accepted into the Marine Science graduate program at the College of William & Mary's Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and is considering attendance in the Fall of 2023 after a gap year.
The AMC Source team offers our warmest congratulations to Kayla on these impressive achievements!
