AMC Source 2023 Q2 & Q3 Meetings & Events

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

While our AMC Source team represents over 50 combined years of event planning, each new season of conferences, meetings, and retreats is just as exciting as the last. In Q2 and Q3 of 2023, AMC Source facilitated meetings and events in 20 different cities across the United States, in addition to the countless locations from which virtual event attendees tuned in. Some of this season's cities have become quite familiar to AMC Source, with team members visiting for events multiple times every year. Examples of these cities include Chicago, IL, New Orleans, LA, Boston, MA, Washington, D.C., and Fort Lauderdale, FL. Other cities on this year's list, such as Boone, NC, Daytona Beach, FL, and Albuquerque, NM, are quickly becoming some of our favorites.

Our team noted that this season's in-person events were particularly energetic and lively, as attendees are really beginning to lean in to the benefits of meeting face-to-face. At every meeting, warm handshakes, enthusiastic "fist-bumps," and much-needed hugs were seen across banquet halls, board rooms, and hotel lobbies. Camaraderie is in the air, and our team is thrilled to see it. "As meetings and events continue to settle into an in-person rhythm, there are several notable behavioral trends. Chief among them: people are having FUN!" AMC Source Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist, Eva Bracciale, shared, "Sponsors and attendees are dancing together at photo booths, speakers are challenging each other to yard games, and colleagues are toasting each other's recent achievements at the hotel lobby bar. The joy of gathering is back."

In addition to atmospheric shifts like these, our meetings and events team has also noted that event planning processes are continually evolving in the post-COVID world, requiring increased flexibility, attention to detail, and quick learning. AMC Source participates in every part of event planning, including development of RFPs, site research and selection, timeline charting, contract negotiations, program proposals, meeting room scheduling, food and beverage coordination, AV coordination, slide and presentation design, CPE and compliance management, registration, hotel relations, and program development. At each stage, it is essential that planners are keenly aware of updates to best practices, which is why our team takes ongoing industry education quite seriously.
